Become a part of an exciting opportunity as Business Support Officer with Sexual Health Service, Allied Health Services. You will plan, coordinate, manage, monitor and evaluate the provision of administrative and business support to the Sexual Health Unit and provide process links with stakeholders for human resource management, financial management and procurement. This position works as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team, closely working with clinical nurses, allied health staff, Indigenous health workers, medical officers, other visiting health professionals, health promotion officers and all supporting staff.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About your role:

  • Facilitate the purchasing, receipting and payment of goods, materials and supplies for Sexual Health, as defined in Queensland Health's Purchasing and Financial Management Policies and Procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Shared Service Providers by utilising effective communication and negotiation skills.
