You will provide specialist education support for the interdisciplinary faculty in the delivery of scenario-based simulation education and clinical skills training for healthcare professionals and students.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will:

• Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards specifically relating to nursing/midwifery practise and ensure safe, appropriate application of same within Simulation Coordinator scope.
• Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective simulation education and clinical skills training.
• Coordinate the resources required to deliver education and training events offered by Cairns Skills Centre, as required, including rooms and venues, simulation and associated equipment, scenario props, consumables, audio-visual systems, and documentation.
• Perform first line troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of simulation, skills training and audio-visual equipment.
