About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
- Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards specifically relating to nursing/midwifery practise and ensure safe, appropriate application of same within Simulation Coordinator scope.
- Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective simulation education and clinical skills training.
- Coordinate the resources required to deliver education and training events offered by Cairns Skills Centre, as required, including rooms and venues, simulation and associated equipment, scenario props, consumables, audio-visual systems, and documentation.
- Perform first line troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of simulation, skills training and audio-visual equipment.
