The People and Culture Services team are seeking a Team Leader (Rostering and MyHR) to join them. In this role you will lead the Human Resource Rostering and MyHR team who supports line managers with rostering, MyHR services, payroll enquires and establishment management.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About your role:

  • Manage, monitor, and mentor staff including identification of resource requirements, recruitment and selection, training, performance management, and performance planning.
  • Engage with and provide advice to senior management, and other stakeholders on a range of payroll and rostering issues and initiatives.
  • Prepare high level reports and proposals relating to a range of payroll and rostering issues and initiatives, such as briefing papers, monthly activity reports and other relevant reports to guide and inform the effective and efficient payroll and rostering.
  • Be the central contact representative for payroll and rostering mattes, including attending key meetings and working in partnership with Payroll Transactional Services to resolve issues.
