About your opportunity: 

Manage planning activities of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, including but not limited to:

• Clinical service planning
• Strategic planning
• Operational planning
• Integrated service planning
• Environmental sustainability planning

The position has one direct reporting position (CHHHS Environmental Sustainability Officer).

About your role:

• Coordinate the Executive Operational Planning Day and draft the annual CHHHS Operational Plan.
• Assist executive portfolios to draft operational plans.
• Apply specialist and highly developed clinical knowledge, reasoning and decision-making skills to provide authoritative counsel within CHHHS at a state-wide and/or national level.
• Accountable for the development of professional standards, clinical practice and competence through leading and/or facilitating clinical service improvement and research within CHHHS.
• Develop and maintain effective professional and strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistency with the HHS's and Government's strategic direction in the development of integrated planning initiatives.
• Ensure the timely identification, escalation and management of clinical and business issues that are identified through the planning process.
