The Physiotherapy Department are seeking a Physiotherapist – Advanced (Paediatrics) to join them. In this role you will be required to provide expert assessment, diagnosis and case management of patients with Congenital Talipes Equinovarus (CTEV) and complex paediatric orthopaedic conditions.

About your opportunity:
The Physiotherapy Service is committed to providing contemporary, evidence-based practice and provides opportunities to participate in research or project management as they arise. We are a growing and innovative department with a strong research agenda with multiple team members completing PHDs, Research and Masters programs and are supportive of team members who participate in project positions. The Service values a well-trained workforce and supports staff in participating in a range of professional support and development opportunities.
About your role:
- Work co-operatively, effectively and assist the Director of Physiotherapy and Deputy Director of Physiotherapy to promote optimal service provision and outcomes including assisting and contributing to effective administration and management of resources.
- Accurately determine patients for whom non-surgical management is inappropriate, and coordinate reinstatement on the Orthopaedic waiting list if required in consultation with Orthopaedic and Paediatric Medical Staff.
- Utilise well developed communication skills and management strategies to lead change within Physiotherapy Services in collaboration with the Director of Physiotherapy.
- Liaise and work co-operatively and collaboratively with clients and their families, Medical Officers, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers as required.
- Support a positive work culture and lead by example.
