About your opportunity:
The township of Innisfail is centrally located and only a short drive to the other health facilities through picturesque countryside. The Innisfail Hospital offers a wide range of health services. Innisfail Hospital is a 49-bed rural hospital providing health care services at Level 3 – 4 within the Clinical Services Capability Framework.
About your role:
- Work autonomously to provide high level, quality, proficient and confidential administrative/executive support whilst carrying out a range of duties in a mature and professional manner ensuring the integrity and efficiency of that office.
- Acquire and maintain a broad understanding of the political and social environment and maintain current knowledge of issues relating to the Director Medical Services and matters affecting the management of the area within the Health Service.
- Coordinate recruitment for positions line managed by the Innisfail Director Medical Services, including liaison with internal/external departments, organisations and Queensland Health Medical Workforce Recruitment, Assessment, Placement, Training and Support programs.
- Provide support to the James Cook University Medical Student coordinator as per the requirements of their program, including Medical Education Sessions.
- Coordinate the onboarding of Senior Medical Officers, Locums and Rural Rotational Junior Doctors for Innisfail Hospital as requested to support the recruitment and retention of medical staff. Including liaison with approved preferred locum agencies, and other Government Agencies.
