About you:

In your new role you will: 

  • Effectively communicate at all levels across the organisation to promote effective team functioning. Support schools to use a whole of school approach to health promotion (Health Promoting Schools framework) to encourage a coordinated and comprehensive approach to the planning and implementation of school policies, programs, activities and environments.
  • Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective care and contribute to the quality improvement of the Program by actively participating in professional development and educational opportunities, performance appraisal and development, and evaluation and monitoring of the School Based Youth Health Nurse Program service including program data collection.
  • Work within the School Based Youth Health Nurse Program framework by practicing in accordance with the Program principles and guidelines including the Queensland Health and Education Queensland School Based Youth Health Nurse Program Memorandum of Agreement and Program Management Guidelines.
