An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) team as a Maintenance Manager Planning. You will be responsible for maintaining the Computerised Maintenance Management System’s (CMMS) data integrity and ensure accurate input of asset details, maintenance tasks, condition assessments and repair details in CMMS.

About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About you:

In your new role you will: 

  • Facilitate all BEMS Department activities related to service delivery.
  • Assign clients asset maintenance service requirements and procedures to selected or approved service providers in a timely manner and monitor and report on service outcomes. (Information for contract set- up).
  • Procure goods/services in accordance with CHHHS procurement policies.
  • Undertake operational planning for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of District buildings and equipment in accordance with the Asset Maintenance Manual.
  • Ensure annual operational plans are produced in conjunction with Manager BEMS.
  • In conjunction with BEMS, identify and report on backlog Maintenance items by updating CMMS.
