The Allied Health Services team are seeking a Clinical Assistant – Advance (Hospital in the Home) to join them. In this role to maximise quality patient focused care and service delivery by supporting the allied health professionals with the delivery of appropriate therapeutic activities for consumers of HITH and their families, and by undertaking supportive nonclinical duties.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your role:
- Develop leadership skills in relation to the delivery of the service by initiating, implementing, and evaluating workplace instructions and quality activities, relevant to the position and supporting organisational change.
- Facilitate, monitor and be responsible for self-development to ensure ongoing education to meet professional competency and mandatory training requirements and assist in mentoring/support of less experienced Clinical Assistants.
- Assist in the performance, appraisal, and development of CA3 staff and facilitate and lead ongoing training to enhance safe and competent clinical practice for CA3 staff and students.
