The Chief Finance Officer Services are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join them. In this role as Accounts Receivable Officer you will provide high level support and services to patients and staff of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. This role is interchangeable between all services within the Private Practice and Revenue Services Unit at the same level.

About us:
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About your role:
- Deliver a high level of customer service; demonstrating empathy patience and understanding via face to face, verbal or written communication, provide develop and maintain an efficient effective and confidential administrative clerical and accounting support.
- Liaise with relevant authorities both verbally and in writing on operational and policy matters pertaining to services provided by the department to patients, staff and relevant stakeholders ensuring compliance with HHS objectives and responsibilities.
- Generate and process patient and sundry debtor accounts, provide receipting functions, banking, debt management, reporting and reconciliation responsibilities within allocated timeframes including, receipting/disbursement of inpatient Patient Trust, ensuring compliance to all relevant policy and procedures.
