You are invited to join a dynamic team with Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services as Clinical Nurse. In this role you will provide an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health services. The Clinical Nurse is required to deliver direct nursing care at advanced level to Commonwealth Home Support Program eligible clients and can function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to work colleagues.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
- Effectively manage self-development and work with the Nurse Unit Manager/Clinical Nurse Educator to meet nursing staff development needs and participate in professional development activities as well as undertaking regular performance appraisal and development.
- Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure quality, cost-effective client care and contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and review of policies and procedures, and workplace protocols under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.
- Promote cooperation, teamwork and understanding in undertaking generalist and/or specialist nursing practices for effective health outcomes.
