About us:
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About you:
In your new role you will:
- Implement and evaluate within the service unit (AMYOS), quality activities in professional and mental health practice to continually improve the care of adolescents with severe and complex mental health problems who are difficult to engage, exhibit high risk behaviour or show risk of deterioration.
- Develop working partnerships with non-government and government agencies that contribute to improved outcomes for consumers, providing consultation and clinical advice, enhanced co-operation and utilising effective community engagement skills.
- Provide high level clinical and professional leadership on the development of evidence-based clinical policy and practice, service development, information management, data collection and dissemination, quality improvement activities, research and evaluation projects and the maintaining of appropriate records related to service delivery, performance and outcome measurements.
- Effectively manage self and provide high level clinical education and supervision pertaining to routine tasks for students and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff to develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities.
