The Associate Maternity Unit Manager (AMUM) is a registered midwife who supports the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) in providing leadership and direction to nursing and midwifery staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost-effective midwifery care consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the unit or area.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will….. 

• Provide regular, written, progress reports to the MUM regarding clinical practice, time management and caseload management, critical thinking and decision making for the graduate and novice MGP midwives.
• Demonstrate specialised knowledge, experience and clinical skills and competence in a particular area of expertise.
• Continue to review processes to improve efficiencies, clinical care, service delivery, woman-centred outcomes and satisfaction.
