You are invited to join a dynamic team with Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services as Senior Psychologist. In this role you will deliver accessible, evidence based, specialised assessment, advice and targeted intervention plans within an integrated multidisciplinary framework to support diagnosis and provide direction for ongoing care in the community for children aged 0 to 16 years and their families.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
- Maintain a dynamic, proactive and responsive community team where high-level communication, collaboration and skill sharing are key elements of trans-disciplinary and multidisciplinary care provision.
- Provide professional psychology leadership and high-level clinical advice to peers, managers, HP3 psychologists, team members and other stakeholders regarding professional standards and issues, prioritisation and development of paediatric clinical services in relation to client care.
- Actively initiate, develop, implement and evaluate quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of paediatric services.
