What you'll do
In this role you will manage the Suicide Prevention in Health Services team in the Clinical Governance Unit across priority programs and projects focused on supporting suicide prevention within the mental health, alcohol and other drugs service system. You will provide leadership in mental health alcohol and other drug strategy, planning and program /service development as it relates to suicide prevention within the mental health, alcohol and other drugs service system that is evidence based and consistent with relevant national and state policy directions. About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Expert knowledge or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the mental health alcohol and other drugs service system environment and priorities at a national and state level, with a focus on mental illness, problematic alcohol and drug use, mental health crisis including suicidality.
- High level and demonstrated interpersonal skills in negotiation, influencing, advocacy, communication, consultation and harnessing the collective efforts of diverse stakeholders at strategic and operational levels, including health professionals, government agencies and non-government organisations.
- High level and demonstrated planning and project leadership and management skills and the demonstrated ability to implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and communicate strategic advice relevant to mental health alcohol and other drugs.
- High level and demonstrated analytical, policy and data and information interpretation to inform improvement initiative
