Project Officer

As the Project Officer in the Healthcare Improvement Unit (HIU), you will support the unit in their role of leading the development, implementation and evaluation of local and system-wide innovative models of care, patient flow frameworks and service enhancement initiatives aimed at improving the quality and value of clinical services in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department. Experience with information management systems (Content Manager) and incoming / outgoing correspondence will be well regarded. In this exciting role you will help drive systems improvement and reform by working collaboratively with Queensland’s Clinical Networks, Hospital and Health Services and other system leaders to explore opportunities to improve access to healthcare.

What you'll do
As the Project Officer in the Healthcare Improvement Unit (HIU), you will support the unit in their role of leading the development, implementation and evaluation of local and system-wide innovative models of care, patient flow frameworks and service enhancement initiatives aimed at improving the quality and value of clinical services in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department. In this exciting role you will help drive systems improvement and reform by working collaboratively with Queensland's Clinical Networks, Hospital and Health Services and other system leaders to explore opportunities to improve access to healthcare. About you
We are searching for someone who demonstrates:
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially during all interactions and liaisons with staff and/or clients.
- Ability to produce quality outcomes, with close attention to detail to ensure that documentation and communication is of the highest quality.
- Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of incoming/outgoing correspondence/requests and prioritise and organise workflow, in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member to prioritise work and achieve quality outcomes.
- In depth knowledge and skills in the use and management of departmental information management systems, including Content Manager.
- Experience in identifying and implementing changes which enhance service delivery.
