The role
As the Senior Project Officer you will contribute to the delivery of improved patient access in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders, on best practice business processes to ensure consistency with the organisational direction.
- Manage projects in collaboration with Hospital and Health Services to implement service delivery models and processes that guide the forward planning and ongoing management of health service delivery and performance and to ensure that solutions are responsive to customer needs.
- Ensure project implementations are undertaken in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's formal project management and business change methodologies.
- Prepare high quality project management documentation, including business cases, project implementation reports, plans, schedules and budgets.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Project management skills, including the ability to define project tasks, set priorities and coordinate activities effectively to meet competing deadlines, with a track record of proven and sustained outcomes.
- Proven ability to communicate with influence; interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and networks including the demonstrated ability to proactively analyse situations and identify and successfully implement practical and innovative strategic and operational solutions.
- High level written communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation and prepare briefing documents, submissions, correspondence and reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Health's work practices and processes involved in clinical service delivery within a hospital environment in order to support the development of local or state-wide solutions.
