The role
As the Assistant Project Officer you will contribute to the delivery of improved patient access in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department.
Key responsibilities:
- Prioritise and provide administrative coordination within the Healthcare Improvement Unit, including diary and email management, meeting, equipment, events and travel organisation.
- Actively participate in a high performing team by contributing to quality improvement of operating procedures and quality checking of outputs.
- Examine incoming correspondence, papers and reports to determine action, prioritise and where appropriate prepare replies for consideration.
- Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide advice to the Director, Healthcare Improvement Unit on administrative and operational issues.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral skills, incorporating the ability to liaise effectively with officers of all levels, multi-disciplinary workforce, external agencies and members of the public.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with an ability to self-motivate, work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment and deliver work of high quality, validity and accuracy to achieve team outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion in the absence of decision makers, meet deadlines and establish work priorities to maximise efficiency, work output and the changing needs within the team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerised information management systems and contemporary software packages which assist in the provision of administrative support services and functions.
- Demonstrated administrative support skills and experience of a high standard including knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the information systems relevant to the business.
