Springsure Multipurpose Health Service is located 300kms west of the Rockhampton, 809km north-west of Brisbane and 68km south of Emerald. About the role:

The Clinical Nurse provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing and is responsible for a specific patient population, and can function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to the Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel.

• Assumes responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service, or unit in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise including for patients with complex care needs.

About you:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
• While not mandatory, a post graduate experience in Emergency or other critical care areas and Rural and Isolated Practice (Scheduled Medicines) RN is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, precept staff and contribute to professional nursing practice with confidence and integrity.

Total remuneration value of up to $5,785 p.m. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
