Springsure Hospital Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) is located 300kms west of the Rockhampton, 809km north-west of Brisbane and 68km south of Emerald. The population is approximately 1700 including the town and surrounding districts. Springsure is situated in the Central Highlands Regional Council area and supports local mines and agricultural producers.

About the role:

A Registered Nurse Grade 5 who provides nursing care to emergency, acute and aged care clients, within a rural health setting and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
  • Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities for contemporary nursing models of care.
  • Demonstrated ability with decision making and problem solving in relation to, but not limited to negotiation and patient care planning.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $89,236 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
