About us:

The town of Woorabinda is situated on the traditional lands of the Wadja Wadja Aboriginal people and is a designated Aboriginal Shire Council Community located in Central Queensland, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse (Child Health) practices autonomously providing direct care to clients of this rural/remote, indigenous community health care setting and works within the multidisciplinary Community Health Team of the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service. The CN is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of health program activities in one of four main health program areas - Chronic Disease; Women and Child Health, Community and Public Health and Community Home Support Program.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this role.
  • While not mandatory, further qualification or evidence of further learning relating to Community and Primary Health Care, Child health, Immunisation program nurse, and Rural and Remote Nursing would be well regarded. Opportunity to complete the immunisation program nurse qualification would be given once appointed if not completed prior.

Total remuneration value of up to $55,536 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
