This is a permanent opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse who will be allocated to different facilities to backfill leave within Central Highlands!

You will provide direct and indirect evidence-based patient care using contemporary nursing theory and practice within the Nursing Teams. Contribute to quality health care by providing health promotion and education to recipients of healthcare services and their careers and significant others while practicing collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health care team.

About us:

Emerald Hospital is located 300kms west of the Queensland coastline. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 28,000 with 15,000 at Emerald. Emerald Hospital is a 32-bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across Emergency, Acute Care, Perioperative Services, Maternity, Infusion Services, Hospital in the Home (HITH), Child Heath, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Community and Primary Care.

About the role:

Emerald Nursing Resource Unit (ENRU) has a permanent position for an Enrolled Nurse who will be allocated to different facilities to backfill leave within Central Highlands (Emerald, Springsure, Blackwater, and Woorabinda) and live in supplied accommodation if they are not working in the town which is their normal place of residence.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Experience in an Emergency Department and Aged care is desirable but not essential.

  • Demonstrates sound evidence-based clinical skills for an Enrolled Nurse and knowledge in area of practice and setting working within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Adhere to Queensland Health and NMBA Code of Conduct and Hospital Health Services values and committed to positively represent the CQHHS.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $86,259 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.92 - $38.12 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
