Are you a Mental Health Clinician looking for permanency within a well-established and diverse team? Applications are invited for this Senior Mental Health Clinician (Child and Youth) role located in Emerald now. This role can be filled by an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Nurse.
The successful applicant will deliver high-level clinical services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for Child and Youth consumers with Mental Illness in a Community Rural Mental Health setting.
Emerald is a rural town located within the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, a short 270kms from Rockhampton City. The town boasts year-round events such as the Gemfields Festival, Gala in the Garden, Emerald 100 Race Day plus the iconic Derby Day just to name a few.

About us:
Our community care teams provide mental health assessment and treatment services to people who are affected by mental illness. We provide mental health services to adults, children and young people under 18 years of age with serious mental health issues.
About the role:
To deliver a high-level clinical services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for Child and Youth consumers with Mental Illness in a Community Rural Mental Health setting.
Provide clinical coordination and leadership in the intake assessment and crisis response of the Child and Youth Mental Health service.
About you:
- Hold qualifications and the appropriate registration/certifications to practice in one of the following:
- Social Work
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Nursing
- Demonstrate a high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention within the current legislative and policy context of a Child and Youth Mental Health Service.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level communication in a demanding multidisciplinary team environment with the need for high levels of risk sensitivity and case review.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical / professional supervision to less experienced practitioners.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
