About us:

Woorabinda, located on the traditional lands of the Wadja Wadja people, is a designated Aboriginal Shire Council Community in Central Queensland, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton.

The Woorabinda MPHS offers essential healthcare to the local and nearby rural populations. With a dedicated team of 63 staff, services include:

- 24-hour Accident and Emergency Care

- Inpatient and Residential Aged Care

- Community Home Support

- Maternal and Child Health Services

- Public Health and School Health Services

- Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services

- Chronic Disease Management (including Renal Dialysis)

The facility operates three sites, including a 7-bed hospital, a 4-bed aged care home, and a mental health service with a 6-chair dialysis unit. Plans are underway to expand the hospital to add 14 additional aged care beds for consolidated services.

About the role:

The Enrolled Nurse (EN) supports a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife (RN/RM) in the provision of person-centred care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

This incorporates nursing care of community and residential aged care clients. It also incorporates in this rural/remote setting the support of inpatient and emergency care.

About you:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practicing certificate.
  • While not mandatory, further qualification or evidence of further learning relating to Rural and Remote Nursing and Aged Care would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $81,130 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.92 - $38.12 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
