The Emerald Child and Family Health team provides a variety of services, including onsite clinics, home visiting, outreach services and parent groups. This service utilises health promotion, prevention, and early intervention strategies to effectively address needs of children and young people with in the Central Queensland (CQ) Health.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse (CN) Child and Family Health demonstrates specialised nursing knowledge and competency in the delivery of child and family health services within a multidisciplinary team setting, promoting best practice and quality client care using a primary health care approach.
A Clinical Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the line manager of the unit.
The Clinical Nurse provides nursing care based on the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) National Competency Standards to a group of patient/clients in collaboration with health service providers.
The Clinical Nurse works within scope of practice to assume responsibility for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care. The position works collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and reliable care is provided within the dynamic health environments of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) facilities.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Child and Youth Health and current experience in Child and Family Health Practice are mandatory for this position.
- This position may be required to participate in other duties as required by supervisor or due to changing organisational/service delivery environments.

Total remuneration value of up to $105,519 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
