Our Evolve Therapeutic Services (MHAODS) are seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to deliver professional clinical services, including comprehensive assessments utilising a range of therapeutic modalities including individual, dyadic, and systemic interventions in the treatment of children and young people (and their carer networks) with severe and complex psychological and behavioural problems.

About us:

The Central Queensland Evolve Therapeutic Services is aligned to Child and Youth Mental Health services and staff are located at the service centres of Emerald, Gladstone, and Rockhampton. Evolve Therapeutic Services is one of four Child and Youth Services teams, also including the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service, and Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs service.  Evolve Therapeutic Services in Central Queensland is a multidisciplinary team including Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing and Psychiatry disciplines.

About the role:

  • Assessment and formulation and timely and appropriate treatment interventions, consistent with current best practice.
  • Utilise a range of therapuetic modalities and interventions including attachment-trauma focused work with children, families, and interagency systems.
  • Apply independent professional judgement, based on valid and reliable evidence, to a complex caseload, and contribute to the development of best practice services within the Evolve Therapeutic Services Team.
  • Provide professional advice, assessments, and reports to contribute to and participate in multidisciplinary case management.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate within the service unit, quality activities to continually improve the care of young people with severe and complex mental health problems.

About you:

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Registered Nurse (if applicable)

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
