About the Role:
As the Senior Project Officer, you will:
- Coordinate critical project and business activities across all units in the Policy and Legislation Unit.
- Manage the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans, including the coordination of various activities associated with the priority deliverables of the Policy and Legislation Unit.
Responsibilities Include:
As the Senior Project Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage liaison, communication and coordination with other teams across the department to support delivery of work priorities.
- Coordinate, monitor and review the preparation and administration of the Unit's corporate business and reporting requirements including budget processes, estimates, Cabinet matters, risk management, professional development and performance management reports.
- Undertake project planning, analysis, and other project activities, including evaluating the impact of projects and initiatives.
- Develop, implement and monitor project and business services in consultation with stakeholders to ensure identified needs are met.
- Assist in coordinating the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures.
- Assist in coordinating, organising and promoting the activities identified within the program of the Unit.
- Provide project advice, information and status, including preparation of correspondence, responses, and briefings for senior and executive management.
- Provide secretariat support for project governance groups to ensure effective implementation of project objectives within the established timeframes and allocated budget.
- Proactively build and maintain positive relationships, including consultation, negotiation and communication with internal and external clients, networks, stakeholders and service providers.
