Claims Management Officer - Organisational Safety & Wellbeing

As the Claims Management Officer, you will assist the Injury Management Team with delivering claims management services, to support injured/ill employees on WorkCover claims, income protection claims or graduated return to work programs.
The role is critical to ensuring injured/ill employees receive correct wages from the
Department during their recovery and return to work.

About the Role:
As the Claims Management Officer, you will assist the Injury Management Team with the delivery of injury management services, including the management of injured, ill employees on WorkCover claims, income protection claims or graduated return to work programs.
Responsibilities Include:
The Claims Management Officer role is responsible for:
- Entering leave into the payroll system.
- Providing accurate wage and employment information to insurers.
- Providing advice on workers' compensation claims, income protection claims and graduated return to work,
keeping accurate claim records, and - Communicating with injured/ill employees, Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators, managers and insurers.
It would be highly regarded if the ideal candidate possesses knowledge and experience with payroll processing, workers' compensation claims and the rehabilitation process.
The role sits within the Workplace Health, Safety, Injury Management and Wellbeing team, which directly supports the Department to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. Facilitating early, safe and sustainable return to work of injured/ill employees is a team priority.
