Your Role:
The International Support Officer reports to the Principal Project Officer, Global Engagement. The Global Engagement team within DEi offers a range of immersive, fully-funded global prizes and programs for students, teachers, education leaders, and Queensland schools each year, delivered online, domestically or via outbound and inbound immersion. The International Support Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of Global Engagement programs and prizes by maintaining the accuracy and integrity of application data and supporting the project team with a range of activities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring the inbox and providing timely, accurate responses.
- Ensuring all applications submitted through the central point are correctly recorded and promptly communicated to the relevant Project Officers.
- Assisting with the planning, logistics, and execution of events, including high-profile prize ceremonies to ensure their success and quality.
- Providing essential administrative support to the International Travel Unit (ITU).
- Assisting with delegation visits from international stakeholders.
- Ensuring flexibility and capacity to meet the needs of cross-functional teams.
- Contributing to the efficient delivery of Global Engagement's online programs.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, both internal and external to the department, including government officials, overseas institution staff, representatives, and students.
- Bringing an innovative lens to the marketing of prizes and programs to extend reach across Queensland.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, processes, and systems to improve departmental administration.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant Commonwealth and State Acts regarding international student entry and program completion, as well as department-specific policies and guidelines.
