About the Role:
As the Senior Research Officer, you will:
- Coordinate, assess and provide advice on applications submitted by researchers seeking to undertake research in state schools and other departmental sites;
- Coordinate and undertake research on initiatives and issues impacting on the future direction of education in Queensland.
Responsibilities Include:
As Senior Research Officer, your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Undertaking high-quality desktop research about and literature reviews of key strategic topics relating to education, and summarising the findings into reports in very short timeframes;
- Evaluating research directions and issues, and developing policy initiatives and advice for senior officers of the department;
- Coordinating improved access to and dissemination of relevant research findings across the department; and
- Critically reviewing, analysing and providing advice to the Director, Research Services on research applications to undertake research in state schools and other departmental sites.
