Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Finance, the successful applicant will lead a team of 3, manage the monthly capital project settlement process, and take ownership of 5-6 custom-built Power BI dashboards (e.g., FTE analytics, CWIP tracking). Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the project settlement process across capital programs.
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance, updates, and improvements of Power BI dashboards.
- Provide strategic and operational support on audit and financial compliance issues.
- Draft executive-level submissions, reports, and briefings.
- Document procedures and standard operating processes to ensure business continuity.
- Lead, mentor and manage team performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders and internal clients.
- Analyse data and communicate insights clearly to support better decision-making.
- Manage difficult conversations and underperformance in a constructive manner.
About You:
We're seeking a people-focused finance professional with:
- Demonstrated experience in project settlements, financial reporting or capital works finance.
- Strong understanding of Power BI or a demonstrated ability to manage data visualisation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting submissions and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership skills, including team development and performance management.
- Confidence working across varied stakeholder groups including QAO, regional staff, and executive leaders.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate change.
Why Join Us?
- Unique AO7 leadership role with visibility across the department.
- Work with a team recognised for innovation in financial reporting and analytics.
- Permanent position with a focus on professional development and influence.
- Based in Brisbane CBD with flexible work arrangements available.
