The Grants Management and Funding team within the Early Childhood Division is looking for a person who can support the delivery of effective, efficient and transparent end-to-end grants management to the early childhood sector.

About the Role:
As the Business Support Officer, you will undertake a key role in the provision of grant systems and administration support, interpretation and analysis of data, financial management and reporting and ensuring high-quality client service for the Division.
Responsibilities Include:
As the Business Support Officer, your responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the financial management of grant programs, to ensure the strategic aims and objectives of the Government are achieved.
- Maintain current operational policies, procedures, processes and systems, ensuring robust processes with appropriate internal controls and checks.
- Develop and maintain effective linkages with:
- Other work areas to ensure policies and procedures are consistent with departmental objectives.
- Other departments and non-government organisations to ensure policies and departmental procedures are consistent with whole of government approach to grants management.
- Monitor the delivery of activities, including implementing and providing high level support to ensure outcomes are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide high level advice to clients, staff and management within the division on financial and grant management issues, policies and procedures to support informed strategic decision making.
- Analyse operational and grant financial data and provide advice on a range of options to resolve issues.
- Identify and select best options in the development of policy and systems related to grant matters.
- Manage operational issues relating to financial grant resources and ensure identified outcomes and timelines are met.
- Liaise, negotiate and consult with the management officers and other key stakeholders to ensure the services provided by the division effectively support departmental output activities.
