We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Principal Project Officer to contribute to the development of the Alternative Learning Curriculum Resource.

Why this Role?

The Principal Project Officer will work within the Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Team to:

  • Lead and collaborate on the development of the Alternative Learning Curriculum Resource, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across CTL teams, branches, regions, and schools to ensure the resource is practical and inclusive.
  • Develop high-quality written responses to policy positions, curriculum implementation matters, and correspondence, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities.
  • Facilitate professional learning opportunities for stakeholders to build capacity and understanding of the Alternative Learning Curriculum Resource and its application in schools.

The Perfect Fit

The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:

  • Expert knowledge of the Prep to Year 10 Australian Curriculum Version 9 General Capabilities, with the ability to develop innovative resources that support alternative learning pathways and inclusive practices.
  • Strong written communication and digital delivery skills, with the ability to produce high-quality resources and responses tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in facilitating professional learning and engaging a range of stakeholders to build capacity and understanding of curriculum initiatives.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Relationship-building skills to foster productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and engagement in curriculum implementation.
