This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
We are now accepting applications to establish a relieving pool of School Supervisors for 2026, covering all eight regions. This pool will provide a valuable opportunity for experienced and aspiring leaders to support schools across Queensland.
Important Information for Previous Pool Members
Candidates who were part of previous relieving pools and wish to continue being considered for future Expression of Interest (EOI) opportunities in 2026 are encouraged to apply for this new relieving pool. The previous relieving pool for School Supervisors will expire in January 2026.

As the critical nexus between the system and individual schools, School Supervisors translate our Education Strategy into school settings by articulating clear expectations, providing differentiated supervision and support based on the needs and context of each school, and guiding responsive school planning
As School Supervisors, the successful applicants will have strengths in all aspects of system and educational leadership, including driving accountability for performance, identifying and guiding school Principals to address issues and opportunities, leading teaching and learning, brokering appropriate supports for every school, and assuring sound governance is a foundation for every school.
In line with the attached role description, the School Supervisors will:
- Work with school principals to lift educational outcomes in line with school context and measurable performance expectations;
- Use evidence-informed decision making and excellent professional judgement to provide clear expectations and supervision;
- Oversee Principals' development of strategic and annual plans to achieve school and system goals, and to foster sustained improvement; and
- Manage partnerships with various stakeholders, gathering insights to promote collaboration and stimulate innovation.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Required to hold or be eligible to hold full registration as a teacher in Queensland. Information on registration requirements is available at enquiries@qct.edu.au or on toll free 1300 720 944.
- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
