About the Role:
The eResource Services team manages a state-wide digital library of resources which support student recreational reading, as well as eBooks and online databases for school and corporate staff.
As the Senior Information Officer you will:
- Work collaboratively and flexibly within the eResources team using your qualifications as librarian or teacher-librarian to support a diverse range of operational and digital resource activities.
- Support the team in delivering state-wide access to digital resources. This includes the selection, curation and promotion of age appropriate books and high quality online resources and online databases.
- Employ analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and well-developed communication skills to support student learning and staff professional development in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist the Principal Support and Engagement officer, eResource Services, with the delivery of innovative library and information services across a dynamic and diverse organisation.
- Deliver innovative information services to meet client needs, including responding to complex requests for information, selecting and evaluating digital resources appropriate for school-aged students as well as corporate and school staff, managing resource licencing and access, and conducting information sessions.
- Stay informed on ICT and information system developments to enhance the delivery of eBooks, audiobooks, and online databases for teaching and learning, and provide subject matter expert advice as required.
- Prepare written documentation as required, including procedures, online content, training materials, and promotional resources to support the priorities and functions of the unit.
- Work with library technician/s and administrative staff and provide professional advice and assistance as required.

Highly desirable skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a government or school library is highly desirable
- High level Office 365 skills, experience using Online Library Management Systems, and willingness to learn new technical applications as required.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and capacity to learn quickly and respond with agility.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Initiative and self-motivation, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
