We are seeking a motivated and tech savvy individual to join our Safer Technologies team within the Digital Innovation Division.
The role will be responsible for assessing third-party online services used in Queensland state schools, ensuring alignment with information security, privacy and the
nationally endorsed framework, Safer Technologies 4 Schools (ST4S).
This is a fulfilling role that supports school leaders, teachers, students and their families in the safer selection and use of digital products and services.

About you:
Our successful applicant will work within a supportive team to:
- Conduct risk assessments of third-party online services used within schools to ensure they comply with information privacy, security and interoperability standards. These risk assessments are published to an internal catalogue to support decision-making and usage in schools.
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding the appropriate use of online services, leveraging knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and frameworks.
- Resolve support requests, respond to a broad range of online services matters, including investigation, assessment and development of customer and vendor responses, recording outcomes in ServiceNow.
- Monitor and prioritise delegated tasks and report on progress to the team and management.
The Information Officer reports to the Manager, Safer Technologies, Privacy and Safer Technologies, Digital Innovation Division.
