About the role
- To provide high quality dental assisting to eligible clients of the Oral Health Centre (OHC), STARS.
- To assist in the professional development of dental assistants and contribute to student education.
- To provide efficient and effective management of dental assistants to achieve service agreement targets and budget integrity.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide supervision, leadership, direction, and support to your team of dental assistants to ensure the efficient operations of the clinic.
- Maintain responsibility for infection control in the clinical environment.
- Assist in the management and operations of the clinic through effective planning, organisation, monitoring, and evaluation of the activities of dental assistants.
- Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes.
- Manage performance appraisal and staff development programs for dental assistants.
- Assist in the coordination of clinical training programs for students.
- Undertake other work-related duties within the expected range of responsibility and competence for the position.
- Display integrity, discretion, and tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
