About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to assist in the provision of community-based multi-disciplinary rehabilitation services, through participation in specified clinical activities, therapy programs and resource management under the direction of clinical staff within the Community Based Rehabilitation Team. The position aims to assist in the rehabilitation and enhancement of clients' functional capacity and care needs in order to promote, maintain, and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Participate in information gathering for assessment under the guidance of treating health professional, including independent administration of screening tools (e.g. 6 minute walk test).
- Provide effective Clinical Assistant support to the Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social worker and Leisure Therapist by providing therapies delegated by the professional staff member in accordance with the care plan
- Work with clients, their families and carers to carry out functional daily activities identified in the client's rehabilitation plan and support community access.
