About the Role

Central Queensland Region is looking for knowledgeable, collaborative and enthusiastic curriculum leaders to work with a cluster of small schools in implementing the Australian Curriculum with integrity.

There are 3 positions in Central Queensland Region, one based in Rockhampton and two positions delivered virtually (with some travel) servicing the western and outback schools in the region. The 2 virtual positions base schools will be Windorah State School and Nebo State School.

As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will work across the cluster of small schools on a temporary full-time basis, until the end of 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the role

As Head of Department (Curriculum) your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the curriculum across schools to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, and colleagues across schools and clusters.
