Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the Learning Support department, managing human, financial, and curriculum resources to achieve strategic goals.
- Provide evidence-based advice and guidance to the leadership team, classroom teachers, teacher aides, and stakeholders to develop, plan, and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with additional needs.
- Analyse student achievement data to inform and deliver targeted interventions and case management for students requiring substantial or extensive support.
- Lead whole-school systems to monitor student progress and oversee the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
- Provide, support, and coordinate intensive, targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
- Provide, support, and coordinate case management for students who require substantial and/or extensive adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, families, and external agencies to ensure a consistent, inclusive approach to student success.
