About The Role
In these roles, you will support students across the Central Queensland region to access and fully participate in learning by promoting success and wellbeing at every stage of their education. You will apply your professional skills and contemporary knowledge of occupational therapy to collaborate with school teams and deliver high-quality services. By addressing barriers to learning through reasonable adjustments and tailored strategies, you will help create inclusive environments that enhance educational outcomes for all students.
Your Responsibilities
As the Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Participate as an active member in education teams within schools to ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence-based contemporary occupational therapy services to enhance learning outcomes for students with disability.
- Use professional knowledge and skills to deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, professional standards and guidelines.
- Monitor and assess occupational therapy services provided across schools, in consultation with the supervising occupational therapist, to ensure that they improve student access and participation in education.
- Develop and implement best-practice assessment, program planning, intervention and monitoring strategies for students with disability, in accordance with legislation, departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
