We are looking for a motivated and reliable cleaner to support the smooth operation of our school by delivering high-quality cleaning services in line with the approved school cleaning program.

This role involves working split shifts (morning and afternoon) five days a week, totalling 36 hours.

About the Role

As a Cleaner at Fitzgerald State School, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students and staff. Key responsibilities include:
  • Cleaning and sanitising various surfaces, including windows, sinks, drinking fountains, toilet facilities, and sick bays.
  • Dusting furniture and equipment, cobweb and mildew removal, and maintaining outdoor areas such as paved surfaces and drains.
  • Disposing of rubbish, litter control, and assisting with chemical and equipment stocktakes.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards at all times.
The successful applicant must be able to perform routine cleaning tasks efficiently, complete mandatory training, and uphold the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion in a school environment.
