About Us:
Farnborough State School is located on the northern end of the Keppel Coast region, 8kms from Yeppoon CBD. We are a rural school with an enrolment of 360 students across seventeen classrooms, offering a rich and diverse curriculum program, with strong sporting and cross curriculum opportunities.
About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Promote Inclusive Education: Foster a school-wide culture of equity and excellence for students with disability through inclusive practices and high expectations.
- Lead Individualised Support: Provide expert advice and lead the development and delivery of high-quality, individualised teaching and adjustments in line with legislation and departmental policy to meet diverse learning needs.
- Coordinate Targeted Interventions and Systems: Manage intensive teaching programs, lead the Student Support Committee, coordinate case management, and oversee systems such as the NCCD and data tracking for students with disability.
- Build Staff Capability and Access to Support: Support staff in accessing specialist services, professional development, and resources to implement effective strategies and interventions.
- Engage Stakeholders and Manage Resources: Build strong relationships with families, agencies, and community groups, while effectively managing human, financial, and curriculum resources to support student outcomes.
