Gladstone West State School is seeking two enthusiastic and professional Administrative Officers to join our school administration team.

1 x Full-Time (72.5 hours per fortnight)1 x Temporary Part-Time (25 hours per week) School Hours.

These positions are integral to the smooth running of the school and will provide a range of support services, including general administration, executive support, student management, and accounts receivable

We are looking for individuals who are highly organised, efficient, and able to provide excellent service in a busy and dynamic school environment.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

As part of the school's front office and administrative team, the Administrative Officers will provide high-quality support to the Principal, leadership team, staff, students, and parents. You will undertake a variety of administrative, financial, and customer service tasks to ensure the effective daily operations of the school.

Responsibilities include:

Provide general administrative and clerical support, including preparing correspondence, reports, and maintaining records.

  • Deliver professional reception services, responding to phone, email, and in-person enquiries from staff, parents, and the community.
  • Provide executive support to the Principal and school leadership team, including diary management, document preparation, and coordination of meetings.
  • Support student management processes, including attendance, enrolments, and record keeping within school systems.
  • Undertake accounts receivable duties, including processing invoices, receipting payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assist with organising school events, meetings, and activities.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with departmental policies and procedures.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of OneSchool will be an advantage.
