Kilcummin State School, located in the heart of the Queensland outback, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Aide to join our team in 2026.

In this role, you will support inclusive education, assist with student care needs, and help implement communication and speech development strategies.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight

About the Role

We are seeking a Teacher Aide to join our dedicated team in 2026. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of quality education by supporting teachers and students in a range of activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting classroom learning for students with diverse needs.
  • Providing personal hygiene assistance, including toileting support.
  • Assisting with speech and communication development strategies under teacher/therapist guidance.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
  • Contributing to the welfare, health, and safety of students, including first aid delivery (training provided).

This role would suit someone who is passionate about inclusive education and enjoys working in a close-knit rural school community.
