About Us:

Sarina State High School exists to make a real difference to the learning and development of every student for life as a citizen, within the context of a caring and supportive environment and through productive partnerships of students, parents and staff. Sarina State High School was established in 1956 with an enrolment of only 40 students. In 1964 the school moved to the current location in Anzac Street where it continues to grow and flourish within the community.

Our school has a commitment to providing the very highest quality education so that every student may achieve their full potential. We believe this is achieved by providing a caring and supportive environment, which is reinforced through our productive partnerships with students, parents and staff.
We are dedicated to ensuring that every student will exit our school with the learning, training and qualifications to enter a pathway suited to their needs and aspirations. About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead and inspire a shared vision: Guide the school community in developing, articulating, and committing to a clear, future-focused educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Model ethical and values-based leadership: Uphold the principalship as a moral and ethical responsibility, embedding socially just and inclusive practices into everyday school life.
  • Drive high performance and continuous improvement: Set and maintain high standards for student achievement and staff performance, while championing lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Build strong partnerships and community engagement: Foster meaningful collaboration with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry, and business to enhance opportunities and outcomes for students.
  • Provide strategic and effective governance: Apply a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy, and manage financial, human, and physical resources strategically to achieve school goals.
