As the Head of Department - The Arts, you will lead curriculum in line with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division, develop the quality of teaching and learning, and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead the school department in developing and committing to a shared educational vision focused on achieving high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Promote socially just practices and uphold high standards for both student achievement and staff performance.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with students, parents, government agencies, and community groups to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrate strategic, future-focused leadership, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies affecting students and staff.
  • Effectively manage human, financial, facility, and curriculum resources while engaging in ongoing professional learning to achieve departmental goals.
