Cleaner - Koumala State School

This part-time Cleaner role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the school by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the site. Reporting to the Principal or nominated delegate, the successful applicant will undertake a range of cleaning and maintenance duties, support basic site security, and assist in ensuring facilities are well-presented and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting a positive and effective learning environment. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.89 FTE), 67.4 hours per fortnight.

About the School
Koumala State School is a small rural school located 22 kilometres south of Sarina on the Bruce Highway. Established in 1923, the school is set on spacious grounds surrounded by bushland and cane farms. With a mix of traditional and modern facilities, and a dedicated team of staff supported by visiting specialists, the school provides a caring and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Your Opportunity
As a Cleaner, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. This role involves a split shift (two shifts per day) and requires the ability to work independently and safely. Previous cleaning experience is preferred, and you will also support basic site security and report any maintenance concerns.
