Park  Avenue State School is  a  small  school  where 'everyone knows your name'. Our school services the needs of a vibrantly diverse enrolment catchment poised between the industrial, retail and university precincts of the large Central Queensland township of Rockhampton.

Our school has an ECDP as part of the campus.

The successful applicant would need to become familiar with the ECDP service delivery model and the Early Years Framework.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
  • Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
  • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
  • Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Coaching and or mentoring experience, ability to lead a team, strong communication skills
  • Strong knowledge in providing adjustments to students with disability, understanding of NCCD and PLRs
