About the Role

The role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on inclusive practices and contribute to strategic school improvement priorities.

As Head of Special Education Services, you will provide strategic leadership for inclusive education practices and support improved outcomes for students with disability and complex learning needs.

  • The role includes leading case management processes, supporting teachers to strengthen curriculum access and engagement, and implementing targeted interventions and support plans for diverse learners.
  • Applicants should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in inclusive education practices, differentiation, reasonable adjustments, NCCD processes and departmental policy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emotional intelligence, professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset are essential, along with the ability to build productive relationships with staff, families and external agencies.
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), trauma-informed practices, restorative approaches and multi-tiered systems of support would be highly regarded.
